On April 7, 2021, CMS released the “2021 Marketplace Special Enrollment Period Report”. The report provided state-level enrollment for the Special Enrollment Period (SEP) that took place between February 15 through March 31. During this time 528K enrollees made a plan selection on the Federally-facilitated Exchanges which was a 152% increase compared to the same period in 2020. This brief examines key initial findings from the 2021 SEP.
