Paul Brochhausen is a detail-oriented actuarial analyst with experience maintaining and updating datasets and pricing models to ensure accuracy and efficiency. Paul’s technical skills include SQL, Excel, and Python, and he is experienced in Microsoft Power BI.
At Wakely, Paul is a part of the Wakely National Risk Adjustment Report (WNRAR) project, where his role is to process and analyze Affordable Care Act (ACA) risk transfer results for over 80 issuers. Additionally, he has worked as an analyst on Medicare bids and pricing, Medicaid association work through multiple acuity analyses, and a number of provider projects.
Before joining Wakely Consulting Group, an HMA Company, as an actuarial analyst, Paul worked as an actuarial intern with Wakely. During his internship, he updated adjudication logic for the ACA pricing model, used Power BI to create interactive graphics featuring ACA pricing data, and gave input on project work, including ACA information for clients. Adding to his experience managing models and datasets, Paul also used his technical skills to update datasets, allowing for smoother applications of future data and participated in investigative work on member claims.
Paul earned his bachelor’s degree in statistics from the University of Wisconsin.
