On December 14, 2022, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) issued the Contract Year 2024 Policy and Technical Changes to the Medicare Advantage and Medicare Prescription Drug Benefit Programs proposed rule. With the proposed rule, CMS outlines revisions to Medicare Advantage (MA) and Part D (PD) regulations. This year, CMS has suggested changes to the Star Rating program that will have an enormous impact on MA-PD spending in upcoming years.
