Mike Krentzman

Mike Krentzman specializes in the Medicare Advantage prescription drug plan process, Medicare risk adjustment, Medicare encounter data process, and claim liability analysis. He worked as an actuary since 2006. Before joining Wakely, he was a supervisory actuary at a federal agency specializing in pensions. Since joining Wakely in 2015, Mike provided his actuarial expertise to year end actuarial statements of opinion, incurred but not reported modelling and other analyses supporting the year-end statement. His thorough and meticulous analysis has proven valuable to multiple Medicare Advantage organizations. He completed Part D settlement estimates (e.g., LICS, federal reinsurance, coverage gap discount program, and risk corridor).

Mike works on various risk score improvement projects, including identifying data discrepancies and optimization of risk adjustment revenue, conducts premium deficiency reserve modelling and forecasting, and prepares and certifies Medicare Advantage and Part D bids.

Mike earned his bachelor’s degree in mathematics from the College of William and Mary. He is an associate of the Society of Actuaries and a member of the American Academy of Actuaries.
