Niki Daul

Consulting Actuary I

Leveraging her actuarial experience and communication skills, Niki Daul supports commercial insurers and provider groups with risk assessments and financial forecasting. She specializes in Affordable Care Act (ACA) risk adjustment and financial forecasting for Medicare Advantage (MA) risk-bearing organizations.

Niki has held several roles with Wakely Consulting Group, an HMA Company, including working as an actuarial analyst and associate actuary. She is currently a consulting actuary, working with Wakely’s ACA risk adjustment products, including WNRAR, to help commercial insurers estimate and assess their risk adjustment impact. She also assists provider groups participating in Center for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation (CMMI) programs.

In addition to her Wakely experience, Niki has worked as a senior actuarial analyst with Honest Medical Group. Beyond her monthly forecasting and reserving for the group’s MA line of business, she created the provider incentive bonus model and deliverables shared monthly with Accountable Care Organizations (ACOs).

Niki also made key contributions to the design and deployment of Honest Medical Group’s financial projections for ACO Realizing Equity, Access, and Community Health (REACH) and Medicare Shared Savings Program (MSSP) business development efforts. This entailed modeling how various provider groups would perform in the program, as well as developing optimization techniques to improve outcomes.

Earning her bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Niki majored in actuarial science; finance, investment and banking; and risk management and insurance. She is a fellow of the Society of Actuaries and a member of the American Academy of Actuaries.

Niki spends her free time traveling, trying new restaurants and catching up with friends.
